Home Learning PRE-SCHOOL

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times that we face once again. We have put together a plan for activity ideas for you to do at home with your child/children. We appreciate and understand that family life can be somewhat challenging, trying to juggle work, remote learning for older children and also supporting our pre-school children, therefore, even though the plan is broken down into daily segments, please adapt the plan to suit your family’s needs.

We will use the school website as a platform to deliver ‘our’ approach for remote learning, so please access this by clicking on the Pre-School tab on the main school website and follow the home learning link. You will also find additional activities/lessons that will support and consolidate the learning that has been planned.

We ask, if you have time to take photographs of your child’s/children’s work, however, we would be delighted to receive any photos of any activities or achievements that they undertake that are not linked to our planning. Please do this by sending them on Class Dojo under ‘Messages’.

During the coming weeks we are hoping to set up a Teams/Zoom meeting with the children, so keep a look out for log in details.

Finally, please remember your children are still learning whenever they engage in activities with you such as baking, play dough, role play, puzzles, or simply listening to a story, therefore, please do not put pressure on yourselves to complete the set activities.

We are both here if you have any concerns, questions or support should you need it.

Please take care and stay safe.

Theme - Chinese New Year

This weeks planning will be slighly different as we will be focusing on Chinese New Year. Please pick and choose the activites that you would like to do and have fun!

Phonics - We would like you have a look at the phonics activities over the last half term and if there is anything that you didnt manage to complete, please use this week to do so. During the week please take time to revisit previous sounds to consolidate the learning as we draw a close to the first half of the spring term.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and restful half term.

If you have any questions please feel free to message using the pre-school e-mail or class dojo.

Kind regards

Mrs Cartlidge and Mrs Sterio
