Writing a blurb

Most novels and books have a blurb on their back cover that gives readers a very short outline of what it is about and what they can expect it to be like.  Most of all, the blurb should  encourage people to read the book.

Find and read the blurb on your favourite book.  Now, imagine the publisher has asked you to write a new version to attract more people of your age to read it. Use the template sent home to write a short blurb.

This will be used for an activity in class so please return the homework sheet by Monday 18th September.

We can't wait to see all of your favourite books!
